Creating Course Plans

When you log into Navigator Suite at your institution, you can create a Course Plan to make it easier for you, your Advisor and your institution to know you are on the right track to graduation. A Course Plan is a list of all the courses you will take each year.

To create a course plan:

  1. Navigate to DN Audit>My Course Plan. Initially, the Courses Planned section will report Your course plan is currently empty.
  2. Click Arrow Add Courses. The Search Courses screen will be displayed.
  3. Search Courses to locate courses.
  4. Once you have located the course(s) you wish to add to your course plan, click on the Add to Plan Add to Plan icon. The Course Details popup will open.
  5. Select the Term in which the course will be taken from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Arrow Add to add the course to the plan. The selected course will be displayed in the My Planned Courses console and you can continue to add courses as necessary.

NOTE: If you click Arrow Cancel in the Course Details screen, the course will not be added to the plan and you will be returned to the Search Courses screen.


TIP: The Course Plan courses display both on the DN Audit>My Course Plan screen and in the My Planned Courses console. This allows you to have your course plan courses visible no matter what screen you are in.

To remove a course from your course plan from the DN Audit>My Course Plan page, click on the Delete Delete icon next to the course.

Creating a Course Plan by Degree Search

The Course Plan can also be populated via the Degree Description or Audit Report screens.

To add a course from a Degree Description or an Audit Report:

  1. Conduct a Degree Search for any degree.
  2. From the Degree Description screen or any Audit Report screen, click on any hyperlinked course or category to open up the Course/Category Details dialog.
  3. If you open the Course Details dialog:
    1. Select a Term from the drop-down menu.
    2. Click Arrow Add.
  4. If you open the Category Details dialog:
    1. Click Arrow View Courses. The View Category Items page will open.
    2. To view a course's details, click on the View View icon.
    3. To add a course to your course plan, click on the Add to Cart Add to Cart icon.
    4. From the Course Details page, select a Term from the drop-down menu.
    5. Click Arrow Add.

Once you have selected one or more courses for your Course Plan, you can perform an audit to see how the selected courses would affect your degree completion progress.
