Course Searching: Course Code/Title vs Degree
In general, if the Code, Title or Description keyword is important, Search Courses. On the other hand, if the Degree the course it is in is important, then Search Degrees. More specifically:
Search Courses (DN Audit>Search Courses) if you know:
- The exact Course Code (for example, MTH309);
OR
- A partial Course Code (for example, use keyword MTH3 to return MTH309, MTH310, MTH314, etc. – All third-year math courses at a particular institution);
OR
- A course Title keyword.
OR
- A course Description keyword.
Search Degrees (DN Audit>Search Degrees) if you know:
- The Degree Code the course is in;
OR
- A keyword for the Degree Name the course is in (for example, use keyword bio to narrow your search to courses in the departments of biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc.).
